The Takata Race S2000 Bucket Seat Package includes a Takata Race LE competition bucket seat with S2000-specific side mount brackets and a Takata Drift III Snap-On harness. The Honda S2000 (AP1 and AP2) was produced from 1999 to 2009 as a front-mid engine two-seat roadster.

The S2000’s F20C held the production record for the highest specific power output of any naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine at launch: 240hp at 8,300rpm, with a 9,000rpm redline. Peak torque on the AP1 arrives at 7,500rpm, which means the car requires a different driving technique to any turbocharged contemporary of similar peak power. The AP2 revision in 2004 moved peak torque to a more accessible rev range, splitting the S2000 community between those who prefer the AP1’s high-revving character and those who find the AP2 easier to drive consistently at pace.

The S2000’s narrow cockpit and precise weight distribution make the driver’s seat a close-fitting part of the platform. Vehicle-specific side mount brackets position the Race LE correctly for the AP1 and AP2 floor geometry.

Package options: Seat Width (Standard or Excel Width), Sport Seat Position (RHD Driver Side or RHD Passenger Side), Webbing Colour (Black or Green). The Drift III harness is Road and Track approved, not FIA competition legal.

What do I need to fit it to my car?

How do I know it will feel right, not just fit on paper?
Makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike. We keep the ranges on display in the showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.

Availability

The harnesses are stocked, the seats are not

Takata harnesses are produced in batches and we take deliveries weekly, so belts like the Drift III are generally kept in stock for fast dispatch.

Takata seats are a different matter. Each one is handmade to order to Takata specification and takes 4 to 8 weeks. They are not stocked items.

A seat built for your order falls under our special order terms. Tell us your date when you enquire and we will confirm the current production time.

In-store displays:

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.

Working by appointment allows us to dedicate our time with you and provide a personal and professional service. We’ll always ensure you leave with the right equipment for your needs.
